Portfolio insights for affluent clients
UOB My Portfolio app is designed to provide UOB's private banking clients with a convenient and comprehensive view of their investment portfolios. They are able to track their portfolio, customise alerts, market news, and tools. With this, the goal is to increase the touch points and engagement frequency between clients and Relationship Managers.

Problem discovery
High networth individuals and families often face challenges in managing their increasingly complex financial lives. With multiple investment accounts, assets, and liabilities to manage, it can be challenging to track and monitor their overall financial health and performance effectively. Wealthy clients often have unique financial goals and preferences that require personalized attention and tailored investment strategies.
For relationship managers, there is no streamlined way to take notes, communicate, share articles and recommendations, further complicating the wealth management process.
How might we design a personalised investment platform for high networth individuals that provides real-time data and insights, expert advice and serves as a centralised communication hub for clients and relationship managers?

Below are some of the key features that was designed for the MVP.
Tailored for tablet devices
The solution prioritises touch-centric interactions and tablet devices. Users can conveniently access their portfolio on-the-go, while relationship managers benefit from effective communication and information sharing during in-person interactions. The design optimises layouts and elements such as cards, for larger tablet displays and touch accuracy.
Portfolio at a glance
Users can glance at their portfolio summary, important news, and essential tools directly from the dashboard. This eliminates the need to navigate to different sections or external sources, allowing them to stay informed and manage portfolios effectively and ensuring they have key insights and resources readily available.
Customisable widgets
Users can access and customise a wide range of Thomson Reuters market tools and alerts within the platform, and stay updated with real-time market data and insights.
The Process
To initiate the redesign process, we conducted weekly design sprints and began with a discovery workshop to gather insights with our stakeholders and relationship managers. We identified pain points, understand users goals, analyse competitors and pinpoint desired features. The insights we gathered formed the foundation of our redesign strategy.
